Everun Note: Two new versions coming soon

Raon Digital expands its offering

Danilo, Tuesday October 14 2008 hours 10:19 a.m. Everun Note: Two new versions coming soon

Let us know, thanks to colleagues from UMPCPortal that Raon Digital will extend its offering in Netbook, offering two new versions of its device, the excellent Everun Note, which we have talked several times.

The two new variants keeping the same form factor and most of the hardware features of the first Everun Note, the D60H; the only components that have undergone a change are the processor and the type of memory storage.

If the D60H Hard Disk mounted a magnetic tray 1.8 inches - 60 GB, these two new models, one for the high-end and the other at a lower end consumer, are equipped with memory modules SSD.

The first is called Everun Note S16S, and is the variant for the public is less demanding, precisely because of the different target, we can find an AMD Sempron processor at 1.2 Ghz, which went to replace the AMD Turion 64 X2, and a module SSD MLC (Multi Level Cell) 16-GB, all against an expected price of around $ 659. Finally it seems that this version will be available in the U.S. in mid November.

The second is called instead Everun Note D24S and looks to be the top of the range model, the processor has remained unchanged this time, offering the high performance AMD Turion 64 X2, and, in storage, with the presence of 24 GB of memory to the state solid.

Nothing exceptional have thought .. Well, actually the surprise is that the device is equipped with 2 SSD modules, a 16 GB MLC (the younger brother of same) and a SLC (Single Level Cell) 8 GB, which should offer much higher in As a speed reading and writing, with consequent benefits in terms of speed of the system and boot times.

The only sore point of this release is top of the price range, which is estimated at around $ 950.

Little hope, finally, about a forthcoming marketing in Italy, not having yet seen the light of the first version, the D60H (which by the way has recently been the subject of a campaign to return to technical problems), we doubt you can see on our shelves these devices before 2009.
